Who we are

Elixir Studio is the website and app design practice of Elixirsys. Elixirsys is the data controller for personal information handled through this website. You can contact us at studio@elixirsys.co.uk.

Information we collect

We may collect:

• your name, email address and anything else you include when you contact us about a project;
• technical and usage information, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, but only when you accept analytics cookies; and
• your analytics-cookie preference, stored locally in your browser so we can remember your choice.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

We use enquiry information to reply, understand your requirements, prepare proposals and take steps towards a contract. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interest in managing genuine business enquiries and client relationships.

We use website analytics to understand how the site performs and which content is useful. We rely on your consent for this processing. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the Cookie settings button on the website.

Cookies and local storage

The website stores your cookie preference in your browser's local storage. This is necessary to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It does not identify you to us and remains until you clear your browser data or change your choice.

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie. Google documents their default lifetime as two years. These cookies distinguish visitors and sessions so that we can see aggregated usage and enquiry-click statistics. We do not load Google Analytics before you consent.

Who receives information

Authorised people working for Elixirsys may access information where needed. We also use service providers that host the website, deliver email and, where you consent, provide analytics. Google may process Analytics data on servers outside the UK. Google describes the safeguards it uses for international transfers in its data-transfer framework information.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond, manage a potential or active client relationship, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Enquiries that do not lead to work are reviewed and normally deleted within 24 months. Contract and accounting records may need to be retained for longer where the law requires it.

Analytics information is retained according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics property. Analytics cookies can remain for up to two years unless you withdraw consent or clear them sooner.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for access to your personal information or ask us to correct, delete, restrict or transfer it. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw analytics consent at any time. Contact studio@elixirsys.co.uk to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity first.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
